Joseph Simon (February 7, 1851 – February 14, 1935) was a German-born American politician and attorney. A member of the Republican Party, he represented Oregon in the U.S. Senate from 1898 to 1903. Matthew Paul Deady, son of Daniel and Mary Ann (McSweeny) Deady, was born near Easton in Talbot County, Maryland on May 12, 1824.
